installed new Crucial memory but PC unstable. Error messages, restart loops and blue screen. Now the memory I went with Crucial 3200Mt/s as they confirmed it is compatible.

I had 2666Mhz in before and everything ran fine.

 

The BIOS DOCP is now stuck at 3200 and I suppose I will need to reset bios by removing battery? Can I really run the 3200? I think 2666Mhz may be the sweet spot. I dunno.Or is something in the BIOS I need to change?

Not a CPU issue then as 3200MHz gets the best performance from the processor.

 

Do you have the latest BIOS installed, many of the later versions improve RAM stability issues, compatibility and security issues.

I updated BIOS a month ago I have V. 4062

I take it that you mean version 4602.

 

Couple of questions for you;

 

Is the Crucial RAM on the MBs support list.

 

Do you have just the new 3200MHz RAM in the board.

Couldn't find ASUS QVL list if that is what you are referring to.  Just trusted crucial.com when they said compatible. They've never lrt me down.

So the 3200 runs well in the x570 from what I read but cause instability issues with overclocking.

I have 2 sticks of 16gb 3200s nothing else.

 

I went into BIOS and set OC tuner to auto instead of D.O.C.P. and having no issues up to now. 

If there is tweaking to be done to use DOCP options I will need guidance messing with voltage and all that.

Pleased to hear it and thanks for letting us know.

 

Clearing the CMOS to restore the default BIOS settings is always the first thing to do with stability issues, it gets rid of any bad settings and gives you a clean slate.
