Hi,

Having an issue with my desktop pc. Getting a constant loop of BSOD with the message System thread exception not handled
What failed - Volmgrx.sys

Am unable to boot via safe mode or usb. Just loops. I believe its tied to one of my internal drives. If I disconnect the drives I can boot, reattach it and the loop repeats. (As almost all my files are on that particular drive, I need to access it.)

Any help would be appreciated
Thank you
Lisa

It will not boot into safe mode. Its a constant loop of 2 screens.

When I detach the one internal drive, it boots, when I reattach it, it goes back to the screen with the BSOD error and the volmgrx.sys message. Ive tried it in both spare bays and it does the same BSOD. I dont think this is a driver error as without that drive its fine, however I need that drive as it has all my work documents on it.

Thank you FreeBooster, I’ll get a couple usb drives and try this, may take me a day or two. Just to double check, with the setup media and recovery environment I’m only running the scan & any repairs it finds, then power down, switch usb to the sea boot and then boot again and scan that particular disk. The first one with the windows set up media shouldn’t clear off the C drive or will it?

Thanks for the help! So appreciated!! :)
