Hi

I'm considering installing a hypervisor, likely XCP-ng, on my laptop.

My laptop currently runs Windows 11 Pro which came pre-installed. I have no product key just the digital license for Windows.
I want to install XCP-ng on this laptop, which will format the hard drive (removing Windows) in the process.

How do I re-install Windows 11 Pro on XCP-ng having just a digital license?

This is my first doing this and I don't want to lose my Windows 11 Pro license.

Any help, links to articles that may help is appreciated.

Thank you.

Check you Microsoft account your digital license should be there.

It is also tied into the hardware.

I would suggest you make a system image first so you can always go back.
