I have an HP computer with Intel® Core2 Duo CPU E8400 @ 3.00GHz and 16.0 GB of RAM. The OS is Windows 10 Pro 64-bit operating system. I have upgraded my power supply to an Apevia ATX-GX650W Galaxy 650W 80+ Gold Semi-Modular Power Supply. I have also installed an MZHOU 7 Ports PCI-E to USB 3.0 Expansion Card with a 19-Pin SATA Power Connector. I would now like to purchase an SSD hard drive with at least 1TB of capacity. I don't know if I should purchase an internal SSD drive that is PCI-E capable or go with an external USB drive. Does anyone have a suggestion, other than to purchase a newer computer? I am concerned that there may be an issue with USB generations.
