Hello there.

I have an Acer XC-830 computer running Window 11.

I have Office Enterprise 2007 and still have the installation CD etc, but have not been able to get it running properly on here since I got the computer a couple of years ago. The program appears to be loaded on here okay, but when I try to go into Word it just gives me a bar showing configuration progress and can take several moments to open (though annoyingly, I just tried it and it only took a minute or two - sometimes it takes much, much longer!)

Should I be able to use it okay with Windows 11?

Thanks in advance for any help anyone can give.

I don't think it's compatible with windows 11.

I just revisited this post and realised that I did not answer it. This was not intentional; I have just had a lot of unexpected medical stuff going on. Apologies!

Thanks to both of the above for your replies. The strange thing about this is that although it takes ages opening a new page at first, once it has loaded everything works absolutely fine!

Any ideas on how I can improve things and stop the configuration issue happening every time?

Okay... as nobody knows the solution to this problem, I was wondering if there is a cheap alternative I could use with Windows 11. I do not use Word often enough these days to warrant buying an expensive program.

Many thanks to anyone who can help

Have you run the repair on Office?

You can use Libre Office - Free

Office 365 online - Free.

I would try the repair

or uninstall reboot

reinstall
