Nothing to worry about if you have glued it back on, it is buffer tape that serves a couple of purposes, it stops rattles, helps to create a snug fit between two surfaces that are screwed together... Go to the full post »

Question, if you are worried by something so basic why do you have the computer partially dismantled in the first place.

You are welcome but be careful when opening up a PC, the PSU can hold enough charge to cause serious injury or worse and likewise the capacitors on the motherboard can hold enough charge to give you a jolt and while bricking the hardware in the process, bottom line, don`t open up a PC unless you know what you are doing and those that do know what they are doing will never open up a PC unless it is absolutely necessary.
