Hi,

 

I am in a bit of a fix here with my Google Pixel 6a. It won't let me send any SMS through my Google Messaging app, although I can receive them. 

 

I have tried the following:

1) Google messaging app > profile > Settings > Advanced - SMSC tab says "Not Available". Cannot edit.

 

2) updating / refreshing SMSC code using *#*#4636#*#*. I keep getting refresh or update error. 

 

I strongly feel (could be wrong though) that my 6a is the problem. It doesn't seem to be a SIM card issue.

Reason: I placed the SIM card in pixel 4a (spare phone), and there it works absolutely fine. SMSC is visible and SMS can be sent. 

 

Any help would be appreciated.

Not an expert on phones at all but no one else has chimed in and you haven't mentioned going there so if not done already take a look at Fix problems sending, receiving or connecting to Google Messages
