Download Spybot Search and Destroy 1.4 from www.download.com. Its a very good spyware removal program.

no single malware proram will catch everything. The rule of thumb has been spybot and adaware, but both MS antipy and Spysweeper are excellent.

no single malware .....

I would use two or three --- and then learn how to do it manually.

Since malware programs work by definition files, they can only remove programs they know about....

i think those are ok,

spyware blaster is another animal entirerly---it blocks malware from being installed, rather than removes it...and yes, download it,

It's a program used to access the internet, just like Internet Explorer. You don't need it, but it seems more and more people are switching to firefox.

Mcafee
Spybot Search & Destroy
Spyblaster
Ad-aware se personal

Also thinking about downloading Winpatrol is it worth it?

"Better" is really a relative term - some people like it better because it has some capabilities that IE does not. Others (such as myself) still use IE because they don't like change :tazz:.

I agree with gerryf that those programs are ok for your protection.

I personally have never used Winpatrol so I can't comment on that.
