Im quite new to Linux, I just installed Fedora and it looks very good. I installed it because I want to provide web hosting to people. I know theres a program called WAMP5 which will start a server but sadly, it won't work with Linux. This gets us to my question.
[help=me] What programs do I need to make a sever capable of allowing people to upload pages and files to my computer, save it to a file and broadcast it to the net under a subdomain: www.mysite.com/theresite. I would buy the domain, and I need to know what to put it under. I would also like to know how to put restrictions on there folders, Example: Size Limits. I would also like to know how to put limits on bandwidth and how to meter it. [/help]
I know this is asking alot, but I would love to let this spare comp of mine make me some money. If your wondering its (i belive) A Penium 3, 128 RAM, 100 GB(- Software, os, ect) and is running Fedora Core 3.
I would also like to know how to set up a FTP Server.
Keep in mind this is ALL under Linux and Windows programs won't work.
Thanks!
[bribe] If you help me, I might hook you up with some free hosting [/bribe]
Thanks again!
