I imaged my notebook hard drive last fall using the Norton Ghost app that was included with NSW 2003 pro. The hard drive died last month, and am now finally getting around to restoring the image to another hard drive. I have tried to get ghost to read the image CDs using the same desktop the images were created on, but it will not read any of the CDs (while the app is running in dos mode) and ghost explorer will not open the image. Strange part is that Roxio Retrieve can read the info from each cd and IsoBuster will also read each CD (7 of them) AND verify that the files are readable.

I have tried 4 different optical drives in the PC to no avail. I'd hate to buy the new version of Ghost only to find other bugs. Can anyone help??

Thanks,

Jim
