I've been unable to run Ad-Aware, I suspect due to a virus. Everytime I try to run the program, a window opens telling me I need a CD in the drive. I even tried reinstalling the program. Any thoughts?

Welcome.

:tazz:

Please open Ad-aware SE 1.06r1

Click the gear (Settings) on the main screen of Ad-aware.

This should open the settings menu.

Please then click on the Scanning tab.

Then click: Select drives and folders to scan

Please make sure you have the correct drives selected.

Hope this helps.

window opens that says there is no CD in the drive. No matter what I do--cancel, proceed, etc., this window pops up again and again.

Have you tried placing a CD in the CD drive to stop the error message?

If not please do then try to edit your settings.
