Looking for a program

I was wondering if anyone has experience and can suggest a program that can make a streaming windows media file to save it to the hard drive? I tried the save link as, and that is only saving the streaming link...

when you stream it and it starts playing to to now playing section of media player. from there go to file save to library or add to library or something like that.
