Hi all! After reformatting windows ME i begain installing all the drivers and programs on the dell. Once i got to the end i tried to hook up the dialup internet connection but the modem just wont make the noise it usually makes, and wont dial the number. I tried modemhelper which tries to reinstall the modem but it just loops itself and doesnt really do anything. Could ne one possibly know whats wrong with the modem?

I went into device manager and checked the modem, it said "device is working properly" but when i clcik on the drivers, it shows the files and next to tcpip it says "file is not working." I then tried to install just that driver and it would not allow me to.

PS: the modem is a Conexant PCI v90 56k Speakerphone modem

sounds basic but uninstall the modem then reboot with the modem plugged in and turned on.
are you sure the driver you have is for me
