Something is weird with Firefox. I have version 1.0.5. I went on today and found that my bookmarks are old. And my new extension I added were gone. It's like I was warped back in time. It is becoming unusually slow. I was talking to my friend and he said Firefox was hacked and he also said his Firefox is screwy also. There is a new version out for Firefox, 1.0.6 should I download it? I dont know when it came out though, so I dont know if it has a security update or not. This is really weird as something like this has never happened before and I really want it to be fixed as I think Firefox is was better than IE. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes you should download 1.0.6 as it is a security update in itsself. As far as if you think you may have been, lets not say *Hacked* lets say -infected-. Hackers are not all bad but thats a different post.

Back to the topic at hand, If you think you have been infected with some sort of malware Please Click Here!

Go through this guide, I suggest that you read through it first and then go back and do the steps in order one at a time. First is the preperation step, If you are not having problems connecting to the Internet skip the WinSock fix but you will need to download the Clean Up utility.

After you have gone through steps 1-4 (which will clean 70% of all problems) if you are still having issues follow step 5. Please make sure you post your log in the correct forum, HERE!
Start a new topic, title it and copy and paste your log along with a brief description of your problem. An expert will be along soon to review, analyze and suggest action to DISINFECT your machine.

Once you have a clean bill of health from the malware experts, If you are still experiencing problems please return to THIS thread and let us know.
