Error 26 message on Yahoo Messenger

I had Yahoo Messenger 6.0 installed and someone talked me into downloading the Beta version. It downloaded but would not take my login and password. I finally uninstalled it and tried dowloaded the 6.0 version again to my desktop. When I try to install from there, I get an error 26 message, cannot connect to the network server and it will not let me install. Can someone help?
