Hi, could anyone help me with a problem i've been having on my computer for the past few days?
On thursday i re-formatted my computer and re-installed windows, however since then i seem to lose my broadband connection, even though the lights on my modem say it's fine, this can happen between a minute and a hour, when i lose my connection i have to reboot the modem and sometimes my pc for the internet to work again. My ISP say there isn't anything wrong with my modem at their end, it says it's online when i could get on the internet.

The 2nd problem i've had is when i log onto the computer, i get an error coming up which reads..."C:\WINDOWS\System32\explorer.exe is not a valid Win32 application."

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, i've downloaded "Hijack this" and everytime i click on the icon it doesn't open up, it flashes up for a second then disappears.

Then see if you can run Hijack This.

Ran tool, it didn't find anything, hijack still doesn't work.
