is linux seeing your card? try using the command
lspci is your card listed in the output?

well, for the wifi, you need to know what kind of chipset it uses to find the correct drivers, if there are no linux drivers available for it you can use the windows drivers with ndiswrapper to get it to work in linux.

well, if your card is Atheros, then there should be linux drivers available, if not, you can use the windows .inf driver for the card with ndiswrapper
first make sure you have ndiswrapper installed
copy the windows driver file for your card to a directory
cd to that directory
type ndiswrapper -l ;lists the drivers installed
ndiswrapper -i driver.inf
modprobe ndiswrapper
there are better instructions out there, if you need more details google ndiswrapper
you can also check out linuxant's website they have a driverloader that makes windows drivers work in linux, its like 20$ for the license but you can try it free for 30 days,

Linuxant is the best way to go. get the trial version and see if it works. and if it does -i seriously suggest paying the 20 dollars and getting the drivers. Its well worth it
