Yes, it will work. Will an ATi all-in wonder work with linux?
Definitely not.will I be able to fully utilize the card?
You'll get much better performance from Nvidia cards....From what I understand, Nvidia had a hand in writing the linux driver for their hardware...(and a good driver it is). While ATI wasn't compelled to be as cooperative with the linux community. (not so good driver and very bad GL performance)
Good luck...welcome to Linux

Yeah, the only cards iv ever got to work well on linux are nVidia, i had an ATI and it couldnt even handle tux racer. A card i have found and still use for my tux-box is a Geforce MX440, you can probobly pick one up for pennies on ebay or somewhere, i still use it for Never Winter Nights on linux.
Good luck with Linux, it is a whole new world.

Thanks both of you. I'm somewhat partial to ati card though I don't know why as I have experieced some difficulties with them... ( particularly in linux. ) Right now I'm running a P2 -333 with 256 MB ram and a 16 mb Nvidia tnt card ( it doesn't handle tux racer very well either ) so obviously I am looking for something better for this dual processor machine I got. Oh and while I'm not totally new to linux it is still pretty new.... so far I have two games by Illwinter games that run on linux and plan to get their 3rd game and it needs a bit of oomph for video though not hi-end. I have been looking at tuxgames.com is their another good place to get linux games?

Thanks I realize that but anything I can do to support the linux community..... I'm not a programmer or such so the only way I can help is by buying whatever commercial linux stuff I can. Once I get the dual I figure anything I can get that will run on it instead of windows.....
