I'm fairly sure I've got some kind of problem, and I'm fairly sure it all stems back to "begin2search". I'm getting links appearing on certain words pointing me to a "desktoptraffic" link.
I attempted to get rid of "begin2search" and have been running adaware and spybot (both updated) and removed what I knew to with HijackThis. Hopefully someone with a better knowledge (and lets face it, most people have) of computers than me can help.
Cheers.

I've had another go at fixing this myself. I'd just like to know if there is anything I've missed.
Also, if anyone knows how to get rid of the Backdoor.Colfusion (Norton finds it but can't quarentine or delete it) trojan, help would be much appreciated.

Much better. You may wish to print out a copy of these instructions to follow while you complete this procedure. Please move Hijack This to a permanent folder (i.e. C:\HJT). This ensures backups are saved and accessible.

Please reboot into safe mode - How do I boot into "Safe" mode?.
Be sure you're able to view hidden files, and remove the following files:

E:\Workflow.exe
C:\Program Files\Common files\SearchUpgrader\
C:\WINDOWS\dxsetu.exe
C:\Documents and Settings\Owen\Application Data\ttuh.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\?ttrib.exe

Next, please go offline, close all browsers and any open Windows, making sure that only HijackThis is open. Scan and when it finishes, put an X in the boxes, only next to these following items, then click fix checked.

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page_bak = about:blank
R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing
F2 - REG:system.ini: Shell=Explorer.exe winsock.scr
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {6BA81678-EA42-05E2-DD71-6D5509F77C3E} - C:\WINDOWS\System32\kktxeaki.dll (file missing)
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Workflow] E:\Workflow.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SearchUpgrader] C:\Program Files\Common files\SearchUpgrader\SearchUpgrader.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [dxset.exe] C:\WINDOWS\dxsetu.exe
4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Aida] C:\Documents and Settings\Owen\Application Data\ttuh.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Gdeyf] C:\WINDOWS\System32\?ttrib.exe
O4 - Global Startup: Digital Line Detect.lnk = ?
O4 - Global Startup: Microsoft Office.lnk = C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\OSA9.EXE
O9 - Extra button: (no name) - {CD67F990-D8E9-11d2-98FE-00C0F0318AFE} - (no file)
O19 - User stylesheet: (file missing)

If you don't use MSN Messenger, fix this one too:
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [msnmsgr] "C:\Program Files\MSN Messenger\msnmsgr.exe" /background

Reboot your PC.

If you would please, rescan with HijackThis and post a fresh log, and let us know how your system's working. <_<

I did the above, except I couldn't find the ?ttrib.exe file, so was unable to delete it.
When I log on and error problem appears about "winsock.scr", and Norton keeps finding the backdoor.colfusion virus and is unable to deal with it.

Anyway, here's the new log.

Please go offline, close all browsers and any open Windows, making sure that only HijackThis is open. Scan and when it finishes, put an X in the boxes, only next to these following items, then click fix checked.
F2 - REG:system.ini: Shell=Explorer.exe winsock.scr
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [dxset.exe] C:\WINDOWS\dxsetu.exe

Please reboot into safe mode (continually tap the F8 key while your system is starting, select Safe Mode from the menu).
Be sure you're able to view hidden files, and remove the following files in bold (if found):
C:\WINDOWS\System32\winsock.scr
C:\WINDOWS\dxsetu.exe

Reboot your PC.

If you would please, rescan with HijackThis and post a fresh log in this same topic, and let us know how your system's working. <_<

Problem's solved. I did it like this, just incase anyone else has the same problem.

First turn off system restore. (Go into control panel, system, system restore tab and check\uncheck the system restore box.)

Then you should fix the following problems with HijackThis
F0 - system.ini: Shell=Explorer.exe winsock.scr
F2 - REG:system.ini: Shell=Explorer.exe winsock.scr
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [dxset.exe] C:\WINDOWS\dxsetu.exe

Then delete the following files. (I used GiPo@FileUtilities the move on boot option)
(After going into explorer, folder options, view and uncheck "hide protected operating system files")

c:\windows\system32\winsock.dll
c:\windows\winsock.scr
c:\windows\dxsetu.exe
c:\windows\system32\winlog.com
c:\windows\system32\dxwinex.exe

Reboot, then do a full system scan with your anti-virus program, this will pick up all the affected files and should delete\quarantine them.

Thanks for all the help.
