first thing you need to know is that it all depends on the type of file you are trying tp play. find out what type of extension it has to figure to what type of file it is.

to see the extensions open my computer, then go to tools, folder options, click on the view tab, on the list look for the hide extensions for known file types option, and remove the check mark. then click ok.

once you do that you will be able to see the extension. once you know the extension you will be able to find out the file type.

the extension is the three last letters after the period. ex: car.jpg
.JPG is the extension once you found out the extension let post a messege on the forum and ill get back to you!!!
