Minor irritation
I've recently had Bladerunner 0.80a on this / PC trying to get in (fire wall stopped it). Evenyually I found your site after some messing about, I sucessfully got ride of it (Ithink). Thanks.
Along the way (before I found you lot) I down loaded some 'free' scans in the hope of fnding the nasty in question. these included, NoAdware, Ad-Ware SE Personell; Spyware Doctor, PC Orion and Spybot. Believit or not I am also an up to date user of Norton antivirus 2004! (paranioa or what?).
One, and only one, found an apparent infection from W32.Sasser - being XoftSpy. I've down loaded and run the sysmatec tool (yes i did turn restor off) and the infected file is still there. symantec did not find anything neiiter did the MacAfie routine I found - only this "XoftSpy" s/w found anything. Its:-
C:\WINDOWS\system32\724_up.exe
the exploer text is in blue -its been there over a year and the application has 0Kb. is it an issue? Nothing else seems to be going wong (except the dauaghter using SIMS2 for ever!)
Is it something of nothing am I actuly infected.
