Hello HELSH...
Try holding the Ctrl key down as you reboot. On some machines this will get you the the command prompt. If this works...
If the prompt is C: type windows\command\scanreg /fix(Note the space before /) and press "Enter" Type Y to accept the scan and press "Enter". This will run on boot-up so if the machine does not reboot, press Ctrl + Alt + Delete to restart.
If the prompt is C:WINDOWS> type command\scanreg /fix(Note the space before /) and press "Enter" Type Y to accept the scan and press "Enter". This will run on boot-up so if the machine does not reboot, press Ctrl + Alt + Delete to restart.
If holding Ctrl down doesn't work go HERE and download the OEM version bootdisk for ME...put a floppy disk in the A drive and double click the file you just downloaded to create a bootdisk...put it in the bad machine and restart. At the options screen, press F5 to get the A prompt..at the A prompt type C: then use the first option above.
Please post back with your results...
