I was wondering if there are any reliable data recovery softwares out there which i can use. I had a partition corruption with my harddisk and i was wondering is there any programs which i could use to recover mp3s and documents.

Try here, however, read the user manual first to check it is suitable

Avoid downloading anything or saving files as this will possibly overwrite the area of the hard drive you need to recover

Its expensive, but Easy Recovery Pro by Ontrack is an excellent program.
