Lets say i have about £250 - £300
Should i get,
A. AGP Nvidia 6800 GT/Ultra
B. AGP ATI X800XL/Pro
C. Setting up a new 64 bit system with an intermediate card and getting a sooped up one later.

Especially important is to scope out your particular motherboard desired and to ensure that any adapter you get now will fit. Some of the newer high-performance motherboards only have PCIX (PCI-Express) and do not even have an AGP slot. So if you went with option A or B for now (i.e., an AGP adapter for your current MB), then you would (may) be potentially out of luck on using it in a more modern high-performance motherboard
