Alright, so i got this windows 2000 cd and I was going to upgrade from 98 to 2000. Seems pretty simple right? I insert the cd and eventually get to the prompt where it asks if I want to upgrade my current system to 2000 without effecting the files, or do a completely new install of 2000. First I did the upgrade and it got half way through the upgrade and completely shut my computer down. I booted up and did it again, but this time did the all new installation of 2000 and now when I boot up it gives me the option of 98 or 2000 and if I try to run the upgrade it says I can't cause there are two operating systems on my computer. Can anyone help me??? :tazz: Ideally I'd just like to get rid of the 2000 so that I only have 98, and they try to run the upgrade again, but I don't know how.

I also tried to make sure I had the right or newest BIOS before I did the upgrade and couldn't find them for mine. I have a Toshibe Satellite 2065CDS. I don't know if anyone can help me, but if so, I'd appreciate any attempt. Thanks! ;)

Is Your Data Important? If Not, Get A Windows 98 SE Boot Disk, Use Fdisk To Wipe Your Partitions, And Install Windows 2000 From Scratch.
