Flock...the 'Social' Browser
"Firefox’s Little Brother"
Flock is based on the open source Mozilla code base. All of our modifications to Mozilla code are released under the MPL, GPL and LGPL licenses. 100% of the Flock-created code to date is released under the GPL license. Going forward, we may incorporate some proprietary code from partners, or even created in-house, but our plan is for the vast majority if not all of our code to be open source for the foreseeable future. Flock is completely independent from Mozilla.
We may incorporate some proprietary technologies into our browser and releases some features under a commercial license, but all of our initial code, and the vast majority of our code going forward, will be open source.
Why do you only work with del.icio.us and Flickr?
We have currently implemented del.icio.us and Flickr because they are the two services that we are most familiar with (and we like them!), so we figured that they would be a great starting point. We plan to always offer choice so that users can connect to any service they choose. We will continue integrating services as time permits and hope to engage the community to help with this effort. You’ll note that there’s already UI in our preferences to install alternative hosted bookmarks or photo sharing services. In the search box and the blog manager, we offer users a number of choices and the ability to install other services using open standards. Expect the same, over time, for hosted bookmarks, photo-sharing and other services we integrate.
Some of our favorite features in Flock include:The current Developer Preview of Flock is aimed at developers, and we do not recommend that you use it as your primary browser just yet.

Flock 0.4.10 is in the wild! (Development Preview)
"A lot of work was spent making Flock ready for translation, localization, and internationalization.
Some of the other things that have improved:
-Spell checking right now is English only, and does not work on Microsoft Windows because of a package problem.
Our next release within a week will be based on Firefox 1.5 RC1.
For the very, very brave, it was integrated this morning in our continuous builds right after we got 0.4.10 released."

"A lot of work was spent making Flock ready for translation, localization, and internationalization.
Some of the other things that have improved:
- Anthony did some refractoring of the blog editor code, and improved support for Live Journal, and maybe even Drupal.
- Categories are supported for Wordpress, and other blogging platforms that use the Moveable Type API.
Hint: click the “Update” button first, and it only uses your existing categories. - Crash MacOS removing Notification -> Technorati fixed.
- Mac preferences window stretch or too small fixed.
- English spell checking can be done in the blog editor on MacOS and Linux.
- Our partner, the Wink search engine has been added as a choice in the search box.

Our next release within a week will be based on Firefox 1.5 RC1.
