Ok i got a new pc well sort of (pawnshop) and well when i start it up everything seems to go good i installed my gfx card put some more memory in it etc but heres the thing i installed Avast! Anti-virus and now when i restart it will start loading its er 6little programs but it never gets there a black box will sort of come down from the top screen with about 10-12 little green lines at the bottom ...

Also i booted up in safe mode ran avast and was amazed at how many trojans there were im starting to see why it was in the pawnshop also when i try to delete them,move/rename/ or move to chest itll give me a error cant access file i need some help fast because my other computer had a mishap during a powersurge

Work through the suggestions then post a HJT log in the Malware forum. It is important that you rid your system of Malware first then address any other problem.

well heres another problem everytime i try downloading somthing it will rename the file some how and take off the exstenstion, and it also only lets me save it as a document

HijackThis is for use in many more ways besides just detecting malware. You'd be best advised to follow up on his advice to you and let the HJT experts help you from there.

Sometimes it's just best to start clean and reinstall the operating system. Did you by any chance get the installation cd with the machine?
