I know darn well I'm not the only Nascar fan here!! :woot: rstones...don't you *dare* post your "vrroooom vrooom CRASH" either :tazz:

I love racing. I never miss a Cup race, and watch most of the Busch races, as well. I love dirt track racing at my local fairgrounds. Yes, they turn left a lot :) Yes, they crash a lot. That's the best part! (unless they get hurt)

My favorite driver, hands down, is Dale Junior. I know many people feel that he had his career "handed to him". Not true. Yes, his Daddy gave him the chance. But if that boy couldn't drive, he wouldn't be where he is. Period.

However, I am an "unconventional" Nascar fan. I don't only have one driver I like. I enjoy watching Carl Edwards, Ryan Newman, Jamie McMurray and many others. I absolutely cannot stand Jimmy Johnson, Sterling Marlin, Michael Waltrip...or any of the other whiners who have horrible attitudes. :woot: Jimmy in particular is ticking me off this year :) I hope he doesn't win the title.

What drivers do you like? What do you think of last weeks' "race" in which it was nothing more than a contest to see who could blow the fewest tires? What do you think of the new rule that will only allow owners to have a certain number of teams??

Let's share thoughts, talk trash...and go RACING!

Not a fan at all, but I did find a nice, cute pink cap with the number 24 on it - my son's football number and found out it was a NASCAR cap. Didn't know Jeff Gordon was 24 -- didn't know race car drivers wore numbers. Anyway, just can't get into it, but I love KAT and Crete so I'm trying to learn about the sport. :tazz:

NASCAR is awesome!! Once me and 2 friends went to a race and it was a lot of fun!! I think Jeff Gordon is the guy I like but I'm not so good with the names...mostly i just like em zooming around the track and hanging out with my friends at the event...lol.

I am right with you though Kat, I have only been to One race and a few years ago at that but i would love to go again...after the race you get to meet the drivers and all and its very cool..yeah

wow ... it's a CLOSE race between Nascar & College Football here .... but I dunno yet. I watch most Nascar races...I live close to Talladega SuperSpeedway and LOVE that race..(not the restrictor plate part). I also enjoy the Daytona 500 (who doesn't?) ... so yeah! Go Dale Jr.!

Ack. F1!!! Isn't that the racing where they let their teamates win.....bah! you won't see that in nascar :tazz:

The closest you will get is letting teamate lead a lap so they can get the bonus points :)

I find it totally boring. If I want to see cars speeding past 100 MPH for 2 hours I think I can go the freeway for that. :tazz:

The race today was great! Junior was up in the top 10 most of the day, just as he belongs! :tazz:

Good to see that excellent pass by Carl Edwards at the end to win! :) Love watching those backflips. He's one of my two faves to win it all this year. He has an excellent attitude!
