need some help

Hey guys, my computer appears to be pretty messed up, I'm not good with them at all, so i figure i'll ask here.

I have Windows XP Professional and what happened was i believe i caught that AIM virus going around (The W32/Sdbot-ADD worm) but i have mcafee which might have limited it, but my computer was still running slow so i ran an internet virus scan and that caught 1 virus and deleted it. Then i went to all my temporary internet files and deleted them(thats where the virus was). So now when i start up my computer nothing appears except for my background. I mean theres no start button, no "my computer" no toolbar at the bottom, no clock, i was able to get online by opening programs by using ctrl/alt/delete. I have no idea what to do. :tazz:
