Now, I've used linux before, quite a bit - but I've always gone back to windows because it's been just so [bleep] easy to set up my 3 monitors.
Here's the relevant spec:-
CRT and TFT connected to an ATI 9600SE
CRT connected to nVidia FX5200
All work fine in Windows.
Here's the crack. I've never been able to get my TFT monitor to work at all in linux, it's as if the dsub port isn't being used - in ANY version of linux.
With suse, this is the closest i've ever got it. The second CRD (nVidia), is working okay, except for the fact that it will not assume a background image, it has it's own seperate taskbar, and you can't drag windows onto it (they just snap back to the opposite side of the primary monitor, moving as if it were on the other one - the mouse jumps to the other monitor, as if it were still holding the window - icons drag fine!)
Also, the graphics card / monitor configuration utility doesn't work - it asks for usename and password, scans, loads, then goes blank ... nothing
Anything anyone can do to help?
