My computer has gone to complete crap after spysheriff installed itself on my machine. I know i should be putting this in the malware section, but i cannot access anything on my computer even through safe mode. Therefore, i can't download any of the files like hijack this on my machine.

When i put my computer into safe mode, i am able to run adaware for a couple minutes, but then it stops responding and the computer completely freezes. I am wondering if i need to wipe my system and start over or if there is something i can do so i dont have to lose all of my data.

I really need some help here. i am begging for some help.

Hello, premo.

I'm going to have this thread moved to malware, although I understand why you posted it in this section.

Please down smitRem Here and save it to your desktop.

From what you said, your best bet is probably to do all of this in Safe Mode.

If you can't boot up in normal mode long enough to download smitRem you will probably have to move it to the infected computer via a floppy.

Copy the file with Ctrl + C and Paste it with Ctrl + V.

Once you have it on the infected computer, copy it to the desktop and double click on the file to extract it to it's own folder on the desktop.

Open the smitRem folder, then double click the RunThis.bat file to start the tool. Follow the prompts on screen.
Wait for the tool to complete and disk cleanup to finish.

The tool will create a log named smitfiles.txt in the root of your drive, eg; Local Disk C: or partition where your operating system is installed. Please post that log in your next reply.

This should enable you to at least use normal mode correctly.

After all that please follow the instructions in this Post as closely as possible, then post a Hijackthis log in THIS thread.
