Ubuntu slow

hey, i was running Ubuntu from a boot CD and the mouse was incredibly unresponsive. Was this just because it was not installed, or should that not matter? Thanks for bothering to answer a simple question if you know.

Whenever you use a liveCD version of Linux the mouse will act slower as will the system. the liveCD is used in place of the Harddrive, not all software will work as it would if it was on the harddrive.
all the liveCD does is give you a chance to see, get the feel for, and help you determine if you want to use linux.
