Hope this covers it. Open Word then press insert then file locate and then left click the file then press insert, (bottom right), put the cursor where you want to put the 2nd document, press insert file, locate click and click insert. You can do this with Pictures also. Press save and name the file.

That was close than anything i've tried so far. Hitch: The 2 documents have different grid layouts & font size. When I inserted the secondary file, it inserted the grid/spacing and font size INTO the text box where i need the information. I'm sorry to seem so demanding but is there any way to just capture the text and retain the preferences of the file being inserted into?

I am probably being a bit thick here but, where was the cursor positioned when you put the second document in. It has to be moved to a blank part of the document below the 1st piece you inserted, you could put the cursor at the end of the 1st piece of text then press the enter key until you get to the next page and insert it the 2nd bit there.

Actually, this is my fault. I don't think i explained my issue well enough. Initially, i put the cursor INSIDE the text box where the shared text would be on the first document. Putting the cursor AFTER the first inserted file simply adds the second file in its entirity after the first. While this is a good way to bypass copying & pasting, its not actually what i need.
What i'm looking for is a way to essentially type text into a textbox on DOC1 and have that text automatically populate (and reformat for the size & rotation) a textbox on DOC2. Have you ever heard of this being possible? I've heard rumors of this being done but have NEVER seen it myself. Can this be done?
PS: Sorry for being a pain.

Open Word then open doc 1. Resize the window to just under half the width of the screen (place the cursor on the edge of the window so it goes to a black left right arrow then left click, hold the button down and move the window across, sorry if you already knew that) then open doc 2 and resize the window so it is next to the doc 1 window so that the edges are touching. Put the cursor at the end of doc 1 and make sure you can see a bit of space below it, then move the cursor to doc 2 and the start of the text you want to move, then left click and hold the button down to highlight the text you need to move, then let the button go, then left click and hold the button down near beginning of the highlighted text then drag it to the clear part in doc 1 and let the button go.

Sorry I was typing the other bit while you had posted your reply. If I find out how to do that I will get back to you
