Hi,

A friend of mine emailed me an IP calculator for use with subnetting etc but had to change the file extension to get it through his firewall at work. He told me to change it back in DOS but I can't work out how :tazz: and was hoping some of you may be able to help me.

Thanks,

Fonzy

open up my computer, click on tools > folder options > view > then uncheck the "hide extensions for known file types" box...press apply...now find the file that he sent you...and right click on it...and select rename....now change the last 3 leters to...well..whatever he told you to change them to (probably exe or zip) then click out somewhere on your desktop

Thanks for the speedy reply :tazz: . I've done that and now I get a message saying that the program is too big to fit in the memory. According to the properties the file is only 548kb big. Any ideas on what could be the problem?

Thanks
