My DEll Dimension 4600 is having some freeze and hang issues. Then today three seperate infections were detected. One was the W32.Sober worm on two different location in smss.exe and csrss.exe. It said it had quarantined them, so i did a full scan. It uncovered a false spyware/adware utitlity called PSGuard and gave me this reigstry key as the location: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Ext\Stats\{72267F6A-A6F9-11D0-BC94-00C04FB67863} - is this a legitimate key still with the adware removed? or do i need to remove it myself? I took all the necessary steps you said to take here and it seems the computer is doing fine now, but... I only have AdAware SE - not spybot or cwshredder as im afraid to download much at all. I did install hijackthis and followed the instructions to post my log

Furthermore , is the Earthlink PCC a crappy program or what? I cant tell - it came with our subscription to Earthlink High SPeed - so im concerned i need to improve my utilities - also any good suggestion for registry cleaners with databse and instructions?
