Hello there,

This is my first post at Geeks to Go. A co-worker of mine recommended your website (about two months ago), but I couldn't find it. I went to yahoo and searched for "Vundo" and "ddccy.dll" and wahlah - Here I am!

I have been getting many popups about winfixer / poker / adult finder / etc. I assume it revolves around this Vundo trojan. I have xoftspy software, but it cannot fix the problem. Could you try to help me out?

• Double-click VundoFix.exe to extract the files
• This will create a VundoFix folder on your desktop.

• Empty Recycle Bins
• Delete Cookies
• Delete Prefetch files
• Cleanup! All Users

Click OK
Press the CleanUp! button to start the program.

It may ask you to reboot at the end, click NO.

Then, please run this online virus scan: ActiveScan

Copy the results of the ActiveScan and paste them here along with a new HiJackThis log and the vundofix.txt file from the vundofix folder into this topic.

If you use Windows XP, Go to My Computer->Tools->Folder Options->View tab and make sure that Show hidden files and folders is enabled. Also make sure that the System Files and Folders are showing/visible also.

• Open HiJackThis
• Click on the configure button on the bottom right
• Click on the tab "Misc Tools"
• Click on "Delete File on Reboot"
• Navigate to this file - C:\WINNT\system32\mljjg.dll
  
• Double click on that file.
• HJT asks you if you want to reboot, now. Click "yes".
