This is my first time on a computer "group discussion" so hopefully I do this right. I have been reading about the varoius problems people are having with Trojan Vundo and the solutions. I have printed out two of the solutions but I'm not sure they apply to my computer, which has this virus.

A couple things I don't know are: Whether or not I am an Administrator. This is my personal home computer and I am running Windows XP. Secondly, I am not familiar with HijackThis that everyone seems to have and always includes in their message. So my first need is to get some guidance on these two topics.

Like many others, I have this constant Virus Alert, via Nortan Virus, appearing on my screen and I have tried the Vundo Removal Tool only the have it say that it couldn't find the virus. I also tried going to the program identified in the Virus Alert dialogue box - C:\WINDOWS\system32\jkklm.dll - and just deleting it, but because it is running I couldn't delet.

Where do I go from here?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi and welcome to GeeksToGo! My name is Sam and I will be helping you. :tazz:
In order to do that, the very first step is to post a hijackthis log.

Please visit this page and scroll down to Step 5.
Follow the instructions there to download a tool called Hijackthis and post a log here as a reply to this post.
