Let's get you cleaned up.

Go to Start > Run and type "Services.msc" (without quotes) then hit Ok
Scroll down and find the below services:

System Startup Service (SvcProc)

When you find it, double-click on it. In the next window that opens, under the General tab click the Stop button, then click the drop-down box to change the Startup Type to Disabled. Now hit Apply and then Ok.

Open HiJackThis, click on "None of the above, just start the program". Now, click on the "Config" button (bottom right), then click on "Misc Tools", then click on "Delete an NT Service" a window will pop up. Enter the below item into that field (make sure there are NO spaces before or after the name):

SvcProc

Click OK.

It should pull up information about the service, then ask if you want to reboot. Click YES.

Jotti File Submission:

• Please go to Jotti's malware scan
  
• Copy and paste the following file path into the "File to upload & scan"box on the top of the page:
  
  • C:\WINDOWS\admvncs.exe
• Click on the submit button
  
  Repeat this procedure for this file:
  
  • C:\WINDOWS\Wfrmsrv.exe
• Please post the results in your next reply.

Open the zip file and extract the regfile to your desktop.
Double click Fix_Protocol_zones_ranges.reg and allow it to merge with the registry.

Reboot and post a new hijackthis log along with the results from the Jotti file submission.

Hi Sari, and thanks for the reply.

I've done everything up until I got to Jotti's malware scan. I put in 'C:\WINDOWS\admvncs.exe' and received an error. I looked for it in the C:\WINDOWS\ folder but I couldn't find it. So I put in 'C:\WINDOWS\Wfrmsrv.exe' and everything reported "Found nothing".

So now I'm awaiting further instructions before I continue with the rest of the fix.

Did you run the Fix_Protocol_zones_ranges.reg program? I would have expected these lines - O15 - ProtocolDefaults: '@ivt' protocol is in My Computer Zone, should be Intranet Zone - to be gone by running that program. We're going to try and fix them manually and see if that works.

Print these instructions for reference, as you will be unable to get online for a portion of the fix.

Now close all windows other than HiJackThis, then click Fix Checked. Reboot into safe mode.

Restart your computer and as soon as it starts booting up again continuously tap F8. A menu should come up where you will be given the option to enter Safe Mode.

Please remove these entries from Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel(if present):

VBouncer or VirtualBouncer

Please note any other programs that you don't recognize in that list in your next response

Now make sure you can see hidden files and folders:

* Click Start.
* Open My Computer.
* Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
* Select the View Tab.
* Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Show hidden files and folders.
* Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
* Click Yes to confirm.
* Click OK.

Please delete these folders using Windows Explorer(if present):

C:\PROGRAM FILES\VBouncer
C:\program files\tvs
C:\Program Files\winupdates

Please delete these files using Windows Explorer(if present):

C:\WINDOWS\system32\n20050308.EXE
C:\WINDOWS\admvncs.exe
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Java\ftkcpy.exe

You'll need to find this next file using the search function:

*Click Start
*Select Search
*Select All Files and Folders
*Copy and paste sndcfg16.exe into the file name box
*Make sure your hard drive (C:\) is selected
*Select More Advanced Options
*Check the boxes next to Search System Folders, Search hidden files and folders, Search subfolders
*Click Search

Note the location of the file, and then delete sndcfg16.exe


After that, Reboot.

Please run an on-line virus scan at Kaspersky OnLine Scan or if that doesnt work, you can use TrendMicro or BitDefender. (Please post the results of the scan(s) in your next reply)
