Hello everyone!

First off, let me apologize if I've got the wrong forum. I'm pretty sure my problem might belong in here, but, well, I don't know, so I'm soo sorry if it doesn't. I'm pretty much driving myself crazy here 'cause I can usually figure these things out and stuff, but gosh, well.. First off, I guess I should explain my problem. ^^ Forever and a day ago I updated my Yahoo Messenger, and well, my text hasn't shown up in *any* IMs since. :) I can't read a thing I type, or anything anyone sends to me. Now I know that that's not like, a browser problem, but I think my Internet Explorer might be the cause. On Yahoo's messenger help page, it says to "enable scripting" with IE. Well, I did. And my text still doesn't show up. I uninstalled (And reinstalled) both Yahoo and IE, but, well, it still isn't working. I'm just so confused and I didn't really know what else to do so I decided to ask for help. <3 But I do also think my IE might be a bit funky, too, because once I get to my security settings (You know, tools>internet options, blah blah.) and click on custom level... Well, normally I guess there's like, (Like, under "Active Scripting" it says "Prompt", "Enable" and "Disable") a little circle that you can click to pick the option you want. (Enable, disable, blahdeedah.) Well... My IE doesn't have those little circle things. I do remember reading somewhere that someone had the same Yahoo problem because some files in their IE were corrupted or something, and a reinstallation fixed it, but it didn't work for me so I'm just all confused. And I'm not even totally sure I ever enabled scripting because those circle things are like.. Not there. Ohmygosh and believe me I know how incredibly ditzy I sound and how extremely vague I'm being, but I really don't know how to describe my problem any better. :tazz: I really do feel bad that I can't describe what's going on better, and goodness I'm so exasperated by my icky Yahoo Messenger it's so not even funny. (I have run a virus scan before, it didn't fix the problem. But I'm running one right now just in case. :woot: ) I'd love it if someone could like, help me. You guys are all so smart and I feel *really* slow right now. :) Thank you sooo much for your time! I really appreciate it! <3 I can give my AIM or email if anyone would rather help me through that, if it wouldn't be like, a horrible amount of trouble or anything. Again, thanks ever so much!

Grace :P

Hey this worked for me so it might work for you. Try downgrading your yahoo to an older version from here. Then reinstall the new version after that. If this does not help post back....lol make sure your font isn't set to white either j/k i know that's not the problem.

Ohmygosh thanks so much guys! <3 I'll try out both of your suggestions and let you know how they work! :) And, haha, my font definitely isn't white. I already made sure of that a while ago. :tazz:
