Hi,

My home PC, running on Windows XP, is effected with W32/Alemod.f.dll virus. I have Macafee installed on mt PC but it is not able to remove the virus and i am getting a message :

C:\windows\system32\wininet.dll is write protected

Once I start the PC all i see is the default background screen and am not able to do any thing else. All i can do is get to the Taskmanager Screen and log off/restart/shutdown my PC. Unfortunately i did not get a chance to install any Virus scanner on my home PC as it was delivered just couple of days back.

Any idea how can i fix this? All and any help would be greatly appreciated. :tazz:

Thanks
