whenever i go to 'My Computer' or 'Control Panel', hpiz423.exe always tries to install and always doesn't finish. i'm concerned whether i should be worried about this. can anyone tell me what hpiz423.exe is and if i should be concerned? if it's a malicious file, can anyone suggest a removal method?

Do you by any chance have a Hewlett Packard device (printer/scanner) installed? If so, make sure you installed all the drivers properly. Reinstall if necessary because it looks like it's not installed correctly.
