I tried to install Nero 7 but it failed so re-installed Nero 6 since doing this now when i try to create a VCD from avi file the quality is terrible it jumps and is totally out of sync, how do i fix this please?

VCD file formats are like that, due to the compression it has to use something like virtualdub might be able to correct this but you don't need to convert it to VCD if you have a DVD disc, VCD is what you would convert it to if you want to put it on CD, try converting it to MPEG2 for DVD and tell me how the quality of that goes.
