Hello
This is my second computer's clean up. It needs a good check. It had a virus n
that caused a horrible email problem, however it's now fixed. I would appreciate a check on the logs. All protocols have been applied prior to posting.

Hello greyknight17

Here is the log as you requested. Your instructions were very clear and followed to the letter. I had run those scans before, but I re ran them again. One new problem has crept up since doing all this. When using the cursor to clink a link, the cursor vibrates and audible clicking is heard. The page requested sends a "page not found" message, however when the refresh icon is clicked, the proper page requested loads. This may be a hardware problem, I don't know. Have you ever ran into this type of problem before? Anyway, here's the hijack this log after all scans and maintenance was performed.

Does Ewido or AVG find anything when you run their scans? Just to make sure it's not a virus causing this problem.

Try this out also:

Download CleanUp! http://cleanup.stevengould.org/ (Alternate Link if main link don't work - http://www.greyknigh...spy/CleanUp.exe ) and install it. CleanUp! deletes EVERYTHING out of your temp/temporary folders, it does not make backups. If you have any documents or programs that are saved in any Temporary Folders, please make a backup of these before running CleanUp!. Run CleanUp! and click on the Options button. Uncheck 'Scan local drives for temporary files'. Also uncheck those two Newsgroup entries if you don't want to delete them. Click OK and then click on the CleanUp! button. Let it run. After it's done, choose Yes to logoff.

See if it still has that problem now. If not, then:

Your log is clean.

To help prevent future spyware installations/infections, please read the Anti-Spyware Tutorial and use the tools provided.

Are there any problems now? If not, you should be set to go.

I did scans with both AVG and Ewido. It's all clean. I also did a cleanup on it. Whatever it was seems to have gone away by itself. I don't know if any damage was done by previous infection or not. If you're happy with what you see in the log, that's good enough for me. Many thanks from myself and my wife for your assistance.
