I followed all the advise and have run all the spyware and virus scans. My mous just jumps right or left for no reason very often, and then it works fine for a short period of time. My McAfee has detected this:

Exploit-ObscuredHtml, but it does not seem to be able to remove it.

Also, TrojanHunter detected this:

Registry scan
No suspicious entries found
Inifile scan
No suspicious entries found
Port scan
No suspicious open ports found
Memory scan
No trojans found in memory
File scan
Found possible trojan file: C:\Program Files\StripSaver2\StripSaver2.exe (SDBot) (What's a possible trojan file?) (Submit for analysis...) (Add to ignore list)
1 possible trojan files found

But it does not have an option to get rid of it.

HijackThis file scan after all of the above:

Please help, this is not a hardware issue. Seems like the mouse has a mind of its own and it is very, very difficult to use my computer. Took forever to even be able to bring up this web page. Thanks.

Uninstall that program and then delete the folder:

C:\Program Files\StripSaver2\

Does Ewido find anything in Safe Mode? Does this mouse issue happen in Safe Mode? Have you tried using another mouse or reinstall the mouse drivers (if needed). You might also want to try unplugging the mouse and plugging it back in...might be loose connection.

Tried a few of the above. Did remove strip saver. I am now leaning more to it being a defective mouse. I think I have had it through several computer rebuilds and it just might need to go. I will buy a new one this week. I appreciate your response. I have had other bugs/viruses in the past and am a bit paranoid and thought it might be a virus rather than defective hardware, but it mght be the hardware this time. Again, thanks for the time. Just wasn't sure if it was a known issue or not.

No problem. Yeah, you have no idea how many times when it's just hardware or a lose plug :tazz:
