Use add / remove to uninstall it, if the change option shows you can try repair, otherwise re-install it
That's not going to work because I just installed the program from the official website.

Is there another firewall or AV installed

If the change option is not there you need to ask McAfee if it will re-install, trials usually do not, but they may give you a way round it
Is there another firewall or AV installed
No FireWall, but what's an AV?
Also, the 'Change' button in my control panel settings for the program is there.. should i just un-install it and re-install it back again?

If you uninstall a trial it may re-install but I would check with them first

AV Anti Virus programme, if you click change it may offer, modify, repair or remove, choose repair
If you uninstall a trial it may re-install but I would check with them first

It is a very good idea to doublecheck for viruses by doing an online scan periodically -- maybe once a week, once a month. Depends upon you. Just be sure to do a scan every now and then to make sure your computer software package has not missed anything. It's like proof reading
