I recently found a setup.exe file on my pc and executed it, but the setup was for a pretty large program and yet it was only a few kb large. I suspected it might be bad news but I guess stupidity struck me and i opened it anyway. after I clicked on "start setup" it gave me an error message saying I needed to update the software, and this seemed extremely fishy to me.
It might be a virus, spyware, or a keylogger, but I dont know.
Can any of you guys tell me what I need to do to find out if my PC is infected? I still have the setup file and I can scan that if i have to.

Thanks in advance for all your help, you guys are great, and have a happy new year!

EDIT: I just noticed that since I ran the setup whenever I press CTRL+ALT+DEL the window doesn't pop up like it used to...
