How about this you post what you think the letters stand for, and at what layer. I will then look and give each on a ;) or :tazz: . By doing this it will help you understand the errors that you have made, with out me or anyone else giving you the answers directly.

Routers and Gateways are one and the same. The only way that there are different is that, routers route the information with in the Intarnet, were as gateways are part of both the intarnet and internet. Routers and Gateways are the same piece of hardware it is how the hardware is config that determins if it is a Router, or a Gateway.

OSI Layers
Layer1 - Physical (Deals with media)
Layer2 - Datalink (Deals with MAC address)
Layer3 - Network (Deals with IP address)
Layer4 - Transport (Establishs, maintains, and terminates virtual circuits/paths)
Layer5 - Session (Establishs, maintains, and terminates sessions between applications)
Layer6 - Presentation (Deals with the format of data, to make sure that the data is readable to the reciving computer)
Layer7 - Application (Deals with the interaction between the human and computer)

Here is a list of items that goes with each layer:

Layer1 - Media(Wires), Repeaters/Hubs(Hubs are just multiport Repeaters)
Layer2 - Bridges/Switches(Switches are just multiport Bridges)
Layer3 - Routers
Layer4 - TCP/IP, UDP
Layer5 -
Layer6 -
Layer7 - FTP, HTTP, SMTP, DNS, TFTP

All of the infomation that I have given you was from all the class that I took for my CCNA. I have spent over 800hours in the class(includes only the class hours(4.5 hours worth per day :tazz: )). I have at least 1/2, to 3/4 of that time extra in just studing and finishing work in my sparetime. When you present this information to the teacher, and they tell you that you are wrong, then just go with the teachers answers. Since they are the ones who determine if you pass or not. Hope that all of this information helps.
