When I shut down MS word I rutinly get an error message that says in the top margin: Microsoft Visusa C++ Runtime Library

Then in the body of the error message I get:

Runtime Error!

Program: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\WINWORD.EXE

abnormal program termination.

Word auto recovers the doc but I have to re start word each time.

It had been happening for some time so I upgraded from MS office XP pro to MS Office 2003 pro. This didn't stop the problem.

I don't even know if this is a MS Word problem or and XP problem.

Can anyone help me?

Sometimes when I run into problems like this, I use a program called ccleaner.

It cleans out a lot of loose ends. Make sure you read the instructions before running it.
