Hi...my WinMe-running computer has since I bought it had intermittent hangs where it just stops responding to any keys/mouse, needs reset, boots up again happy...but this can happen less than each month or twice a day.

Ideas?

Happens with any application...none more than others.

Don't want to spend much on this old system, but it's otherwise rocksteady.
Would an ATI based vid card be a good try?

Oh and would such a card (say 9250, it's 40 bucks now) give muchly improved DVD playback?
Mine's not choppy now but sort of less liquid than on the projector with settop dvd player...

Thanks muchly for any help.
