Office 2000 backup copy

I have an official copy of Office 2000 small business and i made a backup copy of the original cd's usig Nero, but when i try to use them to modify my installation i receive the error that the product key code is incorrect. Why this? Nero has not copyied the correct code? The operating system is Windows ME. I thank a lot someone can help me in this problem. Bye bye
